California's Lost Coast is the nation's largest coastal wilderness outside of Alaska

Sanctuary Forest and the Mattole River watershed are an integral part of the Lost Coast consisting of over 50 miles of rugged coastline and over 100 square miles of mountains, forests, streams and prairies.
This year Sanctuary Forest's Hike and Interpretive Program is partnering with the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park and the BLM King Range National Conservation Area to provide you guided hikes and walks throughout the spectacular Lost Coast region.
Join us on explorations from the majestic redwood forests of the Mattole River headwaters to the boundless views found atop King Peak, down to Shelter Cove's tide pools brimming with life. Each adventure promises a rich taste of the natural abundance of the Lost Coast.
Each hike is guided by trained and knowledgeable docents and interpreted by local naturalists.
The number of participants is limited. Advanced registration is required, so remember to sign up early.
For more information or to make a reservation, call (877) 986-HIKE or e-mail hike@sanctuaryforest.org.
